Review: Condo at Agua Del Caribe Resort

I recently just finished a 3.5 week stay at this lovely resort-style studio condo in Sosua, Dominican Republic and it did not disappoint. This condo resort is a mix of permanent residents and Airbnb rentals. When staying solo off a resort I tend to look for places where I will feel the safest. The first thing that drew me to this condo was the fact that there is on-site 24/7 security. Secondly, it is a short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to everything I could possibly need during my stay. It was also important to me that the place I stay had a pool as I wanted the option of being able to hop in the pool and cool off on days that I was working a full day.

As I was travelling solo, I also didn’t need much more than a studio. This studio was well equipped with a kitchen, desk, comfortable double bed (newly upgraded) and large patio overlooking the pool with a pretty Caribbean vibe to it. During my stay, I was also working remotely and had 0 issues with the wifi. I was even able to work from the pool! This was very important to me as I needed a strong secure wifi network in order to work and take meetings during my stay. There is also a restaurant located a short walk from the condo, which was perfect for days that I didn’t feel like venturing too far from the condo and had great food and drinks.

The condo also has a property manager, Fermin, who is very helpful and friendly. He will be there to greet you upon arrival and is typically there most days from morning till evening. Fermin is a local so he has great knowledge of the area and can certainly offer dining and activity recommendations if you’re ever not sure. The hosts (Chelsea and Jonathon), provide a details guidebook that will also have tons of restaurant and activity recommendations for you so there is definitely plenty to do. Chelsea and Jonathon are also very helpful and very responsive so if you do have any issues or questions during your stay, they will be quick to sort things out.

Lastly, this condo was a fantastic price so I was able to stay there for an extended period of time and really enjoy the island. If you have the freedom to work remotely or take an extended vacation and you’re looking to go somewhere warm, I definitely recommend heading to Dominican Republic and staying in Sosua. If you would like to book the condo I stayed at, visit this link to book.
