Food Guide to Miami

I was so excited to visit Miami and I’m pretty sure the main reason was all the different restaurants I came across during my research. I honestly would have had to spend at least two weeks in Miami just to hit all the restaurants I wanted to try and even then, that probably still would not have been enough time!

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

The Bodega was definitely at the top of my list for restaurants in Miami. I freaking love tacos and had heard many great things about the Bodega so I knew I had to try it. Not only is the Bodega a great place to eat but it also doubles as a speakeasy. There is a secret door in the back that brings you to a bar where you can keep the party going till 5 a.m.!

Shake Shack

I came across Shake Shack a couple years ago when planning my trip to NYC and now every time I’m in the United States I make sure to stop at a Shake Shack! My usual order is a shack burger with fries and a chocolate shake and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! There are tons of other great options on the menu, such as chicken burgers and hotdogs and it is basically my mission to try it all! The most surprising thing about this restaurant is its fries. I’m personally not a fan of crinkle cut fries but, Shake Shack has perfected how they cook their crinkle cut fries. They are hands-down the best crinkle cut fries I’ve ever had so make sure to try them!

The Salty Donut

The Salty Donut is a specialty shop serving up hand crafted donuts located in the Wynwood district. After walking around checking out all the different murals we decided to stop and take a break at the Salty Donut. Stopping at the Salty Donut was the perfect break we needed after walking around all morning. I ordered the maple bacon donut and my fiancé ordered the traditional boston cream donut. Both donuts were delicious and super fresh! The Salty Donut is definitely a must when visiting Miami and really, who doesn’t love donuts!?

La Sandwicherie

La Sandwicherie makes some of the most incredible sandwiches I’ve ever seen and each one is packed full of toppings. You can create your own sandwich or you can build your own, hand picking the meat, cheese and toppings. Try the Italian sandwich – its topped with salami, prosciutto, ham, provolone, lettuce, onion, cucumber, green pepper, pickles and their housemade vinaigrette.

Front Porch Café

There are tons of restaurants lined up on ocean drive but Front Porch Café was definitely one of my favourites. We decided to stop in for breakfast one morning and were not disappointed. I ordered the French toast and my fiancé ordered the eggs benedict. The portions were huge and everything was made fresh and quick.

There were tons of other places I wanted to try but just didn’t have the time to. Next time I’m in Miami I will definitely make sure to hit them up.
